Implantology

When needing to replace one or multiple teeth.

Implantology focuses on the replacement of missing teeth with biocompatible dental implants that restore masticatory function, occlusal support, aesthetics, and long-term oral stability.

Bone regeneration may be required depending on individual anatomical characteristics, the length of time spent with a missing tooth, and aesthetic considerations. In most cases, correction of the peri-implant soft tissues would be necessary for both health and aesthetic reasons, and also to guarantee long-lasting results. We address the volume, shape, and contour of the soft tissues surrounding the implants through one or more of the following procedures:

  • Temporal restorations on implants

  • Gingival grafts

  • Gingival plastic surgeries (mucogingival)

The preparation prior to an implant surgery may be divided into several essential steps, notably in cases involving multiple missing teeth. Placing an implant simply to replace a missing tooth, without proper planning, would entirely defeat the purpose of a functional approach. We therefore carefully predict the expected implant loading and the distribution of forces through the future crowns by performing a preliminary wax-up. This in turn allows us to provide a surgical guide to visualise and establish the precise, optimal, future position of each implant and its corresponding crown.

Implantation and post-surgery

We exclusively work with a select number of high-end implant manufacturers to ensure an optimal product quality and the finest final results. Once the implants are set, ongoing care consists in monitoring and maintaining the patients’ dental hygiene to avoid any risk of inflammation of the soft tissues.
